یکی از اصطلاحات قشنگی که در ریدینگ‌های تافل بکار رفته:

be second only to sth (=used to emphasize that sth is nearly the largest, most important etc)

یعنی فقط یه چیز/مورد/.... نسبت به چیز/مورد/...گفته شده بزرگتر/مهمتر/... است

The euro will have a circulation second only to that of the dollar

گردش یورو بعد از دلار در جایگاه دوم قرار دارد. (= فقط دلار گردش بیشتری نسبت به یورو دارد)

That of = the circulation of

مثال در TPO 15:

Glaciers are part of Earth's hydrologic cycle and are second only to the oceans in the total amount of water contained

یخچال‌ها بخشی از چرخه‌ی آب زمین هستند و از نظر میزان آب ذخیره‌ شده، فقط اقیانوس‌ها حاوی آب بیشتری (نسبت به یخچال‌ها) هستند.
